Camera Pricing Update

UPDATE

As of Monday 10 June, we completely removed the pricing from Brill. All features now are free.

Please update to 1.7

We’ve updated how tokens are used when creating notes from photos, making it simpler for you — one token is deducted for each note you choose to create. If the results are not satisfactory and you don’t create any notes, no tokens are deducted.

Voice and Keyboard notes remain free, and we’ve greatly increased the number of tokens in each tier for the handwriting recognition feature so that they are compatible with the new changes.

We hope you love the handwriting recognition feature as much as we do, and we will continuously monitor the token system to ensure we can provide you with the best value, whilst ensuring we can keep the lights on.

Capture notes. From photos.

Now you can convert your handwritten notes into text faster than typing, not just by using speech but also using photos.

Remember the opening scene of Her when Theodor was producing handwritten letters by speaking to his computer? So far you’ve had the ability to use your voice to dictate your notes in Brill. Now, we’re introducing a new feature that looks more like it’s from Blade Runner.

Image capturing.

You can capture your notes by simply taking a photo of them! Snap an image or use one from your photo library and, just like that, we’ll convert it into text! In order to achieve the highest accuracy of results, we perform computer vision off-device. This service costs us money to run. We’ve created a flexible token system that lets you pay-as-you-go. We’ve tried to create a fair pricing model. We hope you love this feature as much as we do, and we will continuously monitor the token system to ensure we can provide you with the best value, whilst ensuring we can keep the lights on. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch at [email protected] if you have feedback. 🙂

Also:

  • Faster sort and filtering. We brought these options right above your Cards list for easy access.
  • Updated folder list on Apple Watch.
